Meet the Facilitators

Dr. Raiya Kind fosters innovation at the intersection of language, consciousness, and AI. Weaving cognitive linguistics and cultural theory into AI and Machine Learning, her research and career have spanned the University of Oxford, Google, IV.AI, rather insightful side quests into hedge funds and deep tech, as well as personal entrepreneurial escapades. Currently, Raiya leads AI/ML Strategy and Research Collaboration at Google X, Google's moonshot factory geared toward solve the world's most pressing challenges. Her ongoing work in Intentional AI and AI  Alignment considers how this technological paradigm shift threads into the tapestry of humanity.

Raiya's personal interests in the biofield and bioenergetics directly apply to her work. As a graduate of the Luminous Awareness Institute for energy healing and having completed an apprenticeship in Therapeutic Movement and Brain Training with Pamela Stokes, she believes it's the weaving of the embodiment with the mind that creates more space for innovation and insight. Research these days is revisiting what it really means to be a collective ecosystem, and Raiya is loving the shift in perspective to one of "We don't know what we don't know." These are exciting times as we move from a model of separateness and lack into a model of unity and cooperation.

Raina is a mentor, guide, healer, teacher, creator-developer that brings the wisdom of the past and potential of the future into the potency of the here now. She worked in the financial markets for sixteen years. In 2001, Raina made the radical leap from VP of financial trading to Energy Medicine practitioner and teacher.  She is a woman with a foot in two worlds, the world of the known and the world of the unknown – with all of its potential. Raina is the co-founder of the Luminous Body Integral School of Energy Medicine. Currently she is a master teacher at the Luminous Awareness Institute where she co-creates content and embodied experiences.  She has been in the creation of a 1-1 private practice since 2001. 

Raina’s broad and deep devotion to well-being on all levels manifests in her work as a healer and teacher. Her capacity to listen deeply to what is emerging, to see possible paths for optimizing growth, and to hold space for new ways of being enable Raina to make a profound difference in people’s lives.  Raina carries the wisdom that we are magnificent beyond imagination and that we have the potential to co-create a better world for all beings as we stand together in our majesty and explore the divine mystery that is life.

With over 25 years of experience as a socially engaged somatics practitioner, Kristen offers trainings to practitioners, developers, researchers, and leaders throughout many social sectors, empowering them to integrate somatic awareness and embodiment into their work. Kristen specializes in integrating the physical, emotional, and collective aspects of healing that surface as our collective cultural body evolves and changes.   

Kristen's unique approach draws from neurophysiology, attachment dynamics, and trauma-informed practices, offering valuable insights for the AI field.  Her expertise fosters embodiment, listening, and choice within this evolving field. Kristen is based in Oakland, CA and works locally and internationally with individuals, groups and teams. She has taught for several years at USF and has guest lectured at Stanford. Kristen's practice in the dzogchen tradition and as an artist informs her teaching, creating a space for exploring and manifesting new possibilities in the realm of collective consciousness and offering valuable insights for shaping imaginal futures.
